Erected in 161 AD by Herodes Atticus in memory of his wife Regilla, the Odeon later became part of the city’s fortifications after its destruction. Restored across the 18th–19th centuries, it now hosts the Athens Festival, an iconic venue on Dionysiou Areopagitou with ~4,680 seats...
