An abstract, inverted take on Giorgos Zongolopoulos’ Umbrellas: the boardwalk’s circular lines and shadows ripple outward while the stainless-steel masts converge toward a vivid Aegean blue. Clean, modern and kinetic - transformed into wearable art.

Story behind the place (mini story)
On Thessaloniki’s Nea Paralia, Zongolopoulos’ Umbrellas rise ~13 m in stainless steel. First shown at the Venice Biennale, they were brought to the city in 1997 and, in 2013, set closer to the sea to “listen” to the horizon. The sculpture shifts with light and wind - an everyday landmark for a city that keeps dreaming...
